Chichén Itzá recibió el 63% de los 213,075 turistas registrados en 16 días
Mérida, Yucatán, a 10 de abril de 2024. Al término de las vacaciones de Semana Santa, que fueron del 23 de marzo al 7 de abril (16 días), de acuerdo con los reportes oficiales de Cultur, en los sitios donde tiene algún parador, recibió un total de 213,075 turistas entre locales, nacionales y extranjeros.
De esa crifra, 134,700 fueron visitantes que estuvieron en Chichén Itzá, que, una vez más, se refrenda como el lugar turístico por excelencia en Yucatán. Esa cifra representa el 63% del gran total.
Lo anterior significa que en promedio Chichén tuvo, en el lapso señalado 8,419 visitantes cada día. La mínima afluencia ocurrió el 23 de marzo con 5,085 y la mayor de 13,698 ocurrió el 31de marzo pasado.
En esta ocasión, el segundo sitio más visitado fue Uxmal con 18,483 con un lejano 9% del total y le siguió el Pasaje “Picheta” que recibió a 17,473 personas (8%).
En cuarto lugar del “top 5” lo obtuvo la zona arqueológica de “El Corchito”, ubicado en Progreso, con un registro de 8,209 visitantes (4%). Y en quinto lugar quedó la zona arqueológico de Ek Balam, que reportó un ingreso de 8,044 clientes (4%).
Entre todos los demás sitios turísticos como El Mercado de Zací, El Museo del Meteorito, Museo Casa Manzanero, así como los paradores de de Celestún, de Chocholá y de Halachó, recibieron 26,166 visitantes (el 12% del total)
Cabe señalar que por diversas causas hay varios sitios turísticos que están cerrados al público como Dzibilchaltún, de manera temporal, y otros que permanecen así desde 2023 como las grutas Lol Tún, la zona arqueológica Balancanché y el mirador de Uaymitún.
También hay que recordar que el parador de Dzitnup, donde están los cenotes X´Kekén y Samulá, fue concesionado el año pasado a un particular, de manera que ya no forma parte de las estadísticas de Cultur.
