Debido a que este martes la entidad amaneció con 50 puntos de calor, nuevamente se realizó un llamado a la población a extremar precauciones a fin de evitar los incendios forestales que además de dañar el medio ambiente ponen en riesgo a las personas y a quienes arriesgan su vida para combatir el fuego.
Durante la mesa de seguridad estatal, el gobernador Rutilio Escandón informó que las autoridades se mantienen en constante vigilancia para monitorear estos puntos de calor, especialmente porque en la entidad prevalecen las altas temperaturas, sequía y vientos, factores que pueden facilitar que se expandan los incendios.
Por lo anterior, Escandón insistió en la necesidad de evitar la quema de pastizales, así como en la importancia de hacer conciencia sobre los efectos que ocasionan estas malas prácticas que, además de ser un peligro para el patrimonio, la salud y la vida de la población y de los combatientes del fuego, así como para la flora y la fauna, representan un delito grave.
Finalmente, reconoció a los combatientes del fuego, así como las autoridades federales, estatales y municipales y comités comunitarios de protección civil, por el trabajo en equipo que realizan ante esta época de incendios forestales.
