Chetumal, Quintana Roo. La XVII Legislatura del Estado aprobó una adición a la Ley de Humanidades, Ciencias, Tecnologías e Innovación y reformó una fracción de la Ley del Colegio de Bachilleres, ambas del Estado de Quintana Roo, con el fin de brindar certeza legal a la función que desempeñan las personas titulares de las direcciones generales de cada uno de los organismos.
En la sesión ordinaria número 12, se aprobó la adición del artículo 54 de la Ley de Humanidades, Ciencias, Tecnologías e Innovación; para fortalecer y precisar las facultades de la persona titular de la dirección general de este organismo, dotando de mayor claridad al ámbito competencial de sus atribuciones y para garantizar los alcances de su actuar en la formulación y conducción de la política estatal en materia de humanidades, ciencias, tecnologías e innovación.
En cuanto a iniciativas, el Pleno dio lectura a la propuesta para reformar el Código Penal para el Estado Libre y Soberano de Quintana Roo, mediante la cual se busca actualizar la regulación vigente del delito de amenazas para que con una sola amenaza que se reciba el delito pueda ser investigado.
Esta reforma plantea además garantizar la seguridad de las personas que forman parte de un procedimiento jurisdiccional pueda hacerlo sin temor de poner en riesgo su persona, bienes o derechos.
Otra iniciativa turnada a comisiones es la que propone modificar diversos artículos del Código Penal y del Código Civil con el fin de garantizar el interés superior de la niñez en el Estado.
La propuesta busca garantizar el derecho de los infantes a recibir alimentos necesarios para su subsistencia. Para ello se propone que las personas condenadas por privarle la vida a una persona tengan la obligación de dar alimentos a los hijos menores de edad en reemplazo del o los progenitores finados.
En la sesión número 13 se tomó la protesta de ley de la ciudadana Karen Gabriela Secundino Vivas y del ciudadano Fermín Pérez Hernández, al cargo de diputada y diputado de la XVII Legislatura del Estado.
